The Director is responsible for the administration and development of all recreation
programs, including funding sources, staffing, coordination, program
development, and administration. Grant writing and securing funds for
projects is an integral part of the position, as are collaboration with
other recreation-oriented agencies. Facilities maintenance is handled
through the Public Works Department. The Recreation Department coordinates
closely with such organizations as the Round Valley Chamber of Commerce,
the Round Valley Unified School District, and the Round Valley Fine Arts
Association to provide special events and on-going programs that enhance
the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
Is responsible for ensuring the clean and proper maintenance of the
swimming pool, including Red-Cross certified training programs (lifeguard
training, water-safety instructor training) and is responsible for the
staffing and reservations of the swimming facilities.
